Day 1 –OUARZAZATE – ERG CHERBY – MERZOUGA DUNES

Heading south towards the famous Draa Valley through the volcanic Massif Central of the Anti-Atlas. Find arid landscapes tortured by erosion, where you will witness the first moments of the earth. Beautiful oases and green palms contrasting with the anthracite color of the mountains emerge from the hollow of the hidden valleys. Continue along the palm grove to the village of Alnif and have lunch there. In the afternoon, you will appreciate ascending illusions in the essence of the desert. The arrival at the bivouac is simply magical, dinner and night in bivouac Berber tent in the great dunes of Erg cherby « Merzouga » where you can enjoy a camel ride.

Day 2 – MERZOUGA DUNES – HASSI OUZINA – ROSES DUNES

Return by camel for having breakfast and shower at the riad. The day will be full of desert, sand and illusions. You will enjoy the amazing landscapes of the great South. These landscapes remind us the images of the Paris-Dakar rally. Heading mostly off-piste through virgin spaces., discovering palm groves and nomadic camps. Lunch at Itran Sahara, reaching Roses Dunes in the afternoon to spend the day in a magical place with open spaces. Dinner and night in a bivouac in the large pink sand dunes of Hassi Ouzina, a peaceful and magic place.

Day 3 –HASSI OUZINA – RISSANI – TINEJDAD – DADES

Departure from the desert via Risanni, the pearl of Tafilalet located close to the place where, for centuries, desert caravaneers stored goods from « Bilad Assudan » the land of blacks. Visit Ksar El Fida, a fortified village that was once Alawite Sultan Moulay Abderrahmane´s house. Interesting visit of the place where people from the oases lived their lifestyle. Continue to the large palm groves of Ferkla, including sources of Lalla Mimouna, a real natural treasure. Visit the museum of Berber traditions created by Zaïd Abbou, where you will discover the wealth of Berber culture – « optional ». In the afternoon, head west to Todghra Valley, where large palm grove greenery contrasts with the yellow of the mountain. Arrive at Dades Gorge at the end of the day through one of the most grandiose roads in Morocco. Find landscapes of gullies and rocks in balance. Dinner and night at the hotel in Dades Valley.

Day 4 – DADES – ROSES VALLEY – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE

After visiting Dades Gorges we head to the beautiful Roses Valley where carmine and garnet soils contrast with green fields. Soil kasbahs rise in a landscape reminiscent of the Grand Canyon (but much smaller, of course). Lunch on route, then continue through the roads that zigzags the high valleys at the slopes of Mont Mgoun, the second highest summit of Morocco, which rises up to 4071 meters. Arrival in the afternoon to the palm grove Skoura. Visit the kasbah of Ameridhil, classified world heritage by UNESCO about ten years ago. Return to Ouarzazate at the end of the day.
